La Cucina Toscana Cookery Tour
Food, Adventure, Culture & Fun in Italy
2-14 October 2011
We are proud to offer this new tour from Italian Traveller. Our good friend and colleague Michelle Darlington – Masterchef finalist (1st series) - is the VictorsFood representative on this delicious tour. Travel through Tuscany staying in agriturismo style accommodation, ending up in a 12th century castello, enjoying the food and culture with the locals.
In northern Tuscany, learn seasonal Tuscan food hands-on with Sandra Lotti. Optional excursions let you visit some of Italy’s most beautiful historic treasures.
Then to beautiful Firenze, for sight seeing and dinner. Meander the vine and olive carpeted hills of the Chianti countryside, enjoying some of the region’s particular delights at Greve and the picturesque Volpaia.
At Podere Ciona, Mimma and Franca of Tutti a Tavola welcome you with a traditional home-cooked meal, give cooking lessons in a large country kitchen, and share their love of the land and some great stories.
Your final destination is a medieval hamlet on the Tuscany Lazio border where you enjoy the hospitality of Pucci and Giovanni Bisoni in their family home. Pucci will teach cooking ‘Tuscia’ style. On the way, explore a Roman spa and a Renaissance town renowned for its cheese. You also visit the family home of a well-known wine-maker to sample his fine wine and some traditional fare.
The last evening is in Pucci’s family dining room amidst warm candlelight, sparkling crystal, a magnificent table, a beautiful meal and the happy sound of friends sharing travel memories.
